Little known in the Rhone-Alps, Maurice Chabas (1862-1947), is the artist chosen for the construction of large monumental scenery both in Paris and the provinces like those of the church in Moirans Isere or the station of Lyon Perrache.
The exhibition, through fifty works, creating painterly, literary, intellectual and spiritual painter Nantes, present in the collections of the Museum of Bourgoin-Jallieu, Maurice Chabas (1862-1947). The three principal themes treated by the artist are included of : Brittany landscapes, symbolist inspiration; monumental sets.
